It is at the top of the Valley it gave its name to, at the bottom of Gran Paradiso Massif which gives its name to the National Park.\r\nThe main town (Cogne - Veulla) is in the centre of the municipality, on the outskirts of a vast expanse of fields, the famous Sant'Orso meadows.
