This hotel, together with the H\u00f4tel Royal, contributed to developing the first tourist offerings in the area.\r\n\r\nThe history of hospitality in Cogne dates back to the first half of the 19th century. At that time, a modest inn at the current headquarters of the \"Dentelli\u00e8res\" offered shelter to the inhabitants and passing travelers. However, its reputation was damaged due to its poor hygienic conditions and its small and unhealthy environment. This did not prevent tourism from reaching Cogne, a good base to climb the peaks in the surrounding area, especially Mount Grivola (3,969 m) and Mount Pousset (3,046 m).\r\n\r\nOver the years, the number of hotels kept growing. Around 1896, Cogne developed further with electric lighting and the opening of a telegraph office. The Gran Paradiso National Park was established in 1922, making the Cogne Valley increasingly popular. Today, Cogne is one of the main Alpine tourist resorts, with a wide range of hotels, accommodations, campsites, commercial activities, and cultural initiatives that respect nature and local traditions. Visitors can hike through the extensive network of trails, cross-country and downhill skiing, and participate in various sports, all activities attracting numerous guests from both Italy and abroad."},"titolo-paragrafo-2":{"type":"textfield","raw":""},"testo-paragrafo-2":{"type":"wysiwyg","raw":""},"titolo-paragrafo-3":{"type":"textfield","raw":""},"testo-paragrafo-3":{"type":"wysiwyg","raw":""}},"generalita":{"classificazione":{"type":"select","raw":""},"titolo":{"type":"textfield","raw":""},"sottotitolo":{"type":"textfield","raw":""},"note":{"type":"wysiwyg","raw":""},"marchi":{"type":"image","raw":[""],"repeatable":[{"raw":""}]},"alert":{"type":"wysiwyg","raw":""}}},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.visitcogne.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/guida-virtuale\/12394","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.visitcogne.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/guida-virtuale"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.visitcogne.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/guida-virtuale"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.visitcogne.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/13245"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.visitcogne.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=12394"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"categoria-guide-virtuali","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.visitcogne.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categoria-guide-virtuali?post=12394"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
