My deductions changed the way we understand life on Earth (if you do not know the example of the giraffe's long neck, read it, and everything will be clear to you). Even here, at the Gran Paradiso National Park, evolution has made its way, so I invite you to observe every detail of this corner of the planet so precious as to be protected by a National Law. Let's take a quick leap into the past. The Savoy family also loved these environments but made them a royal reserve to hunt the ibex with ceremonial rituals, during which only the King could hunt. The targets were only male ibexes, an important detail that fortunately ensured the survival of the ibex around the Gran Paradiso massif while it became extinct throughout the rest of the Alps. It was King Vittorio Emanuele III who ceded the royal hunting reserve to the Kingdom of Italy. On 3 December 1922, the first national park was established: today, it is everyone's natural heritage, a precious area of study and protection not only of the Ibex but of all its biodiversity. The Park's conservation objectives make me an even happier soul when I wander among these peaks!
